Room N. All of third layer in SW corner cleared and fourth layer in SE corner. It is now clear that there is a similar formation of plaster to that in Room Q. White on top, gray and then black. The black appears in third layers of South corners. But the north corners are still gray in third layer. The black layer seems in both rooms Q + N to have come down the circular holes from above. Certainly in the South hole in west wall of Q, the black layer slopes down, into building from hole. Room Q, cleared of much of black layer, leaving a brownish layer of pasty in quality over bed rock There was much the same formation in the holes in the SE corner of N, particularly southernmost. 8.13.1 Work stopped 16:00
