Dig the section of earth left against the rock cutting E. of 6 A. In the north red earth with some stones goes down on remains of the LCIII walls. In the main section gritty red earth goes down, giving way to a level with medium-sized pieces of chavara flush with the top of the LCII wall and the LCII cutting in the room to the north.

3-11-48Dig below this, finding the LCII chavara floor, covered with a hard thin layer with some ash, which looks like a habitation level but doesn't contain any sherds.
