shown on p. 24, we find the S.E corner of 21:14. Red earth is found at 7.40. Stones appear in tumble. Remove the earth to 7.56, leaving the fallen stones. Photo Bam. '39.179 at 7.56 Remove the stone tumble. It rests on a sandy brown level at 7.60. A pit is cut through this level in the S.E corner, going to bed-rock. Photo Bam. '39.185 at 7.60 In the N. we find the same change of earth already noted, with many stones, breaking the wall between 21:14 + 13. It may be an early surface intrusion. Dig below 7.60, through red. brown sandy earth with a few small stones, reaching a similar but slightly redder level at [blank] The earth probably not really cut for the wall. is cut at 7.60 for the east wall. The cutting is unusually broad. Dig without changing sherds from 7.60 to 7.88, finding grey earth with a few stones. This level is very ashy in the N., less so in the S. Photo Bam. '39.188 at 7.88
