wall III Photo Bam. '39. 165 of 13c at 8.01, 13a at 8.13, and 13b at 7.97

15-5-39 Opening the section planned on p. 24, to include Tomb 19 in the complex of trench 21, we find the S-W corner of 21:13. The W wall of 21:13 is preserved to the old S. line of trench 21. Find red earth at 7.30, and a gritty red level, clayey, at 7.46. The tops of walls appeared at 7.30. Photo Bam. '39. 179 of 21:13a at 7.46 and 21:14S at 7.56. Dig through gritty red earth, finding a sandier yellower level at 8.02 7.67. This is cut by the S wall and the W. wall

17-5-39 Clear the footing trenches. Photo Bam. '39. 193 Dig below 7.67 through gritty red brown earth, and discover a mass of stones in a line nearly parallel to that of the W. wall. West of the stones sandy red earth is found at 7.87. Photo Bam: '39. 194
