"Βούφα Tomb"

March, 1939

The line of tombs 6, 12, 16, 25, 24 in lots 236 + 270 is broken just east of tomb 24 by a large number of Βούφες (grain-pits). From the large number of sherds, pots, etc. found in this region it seems certain that there was a tomb here, though no trace could be found of it. This region is thus called "Βούφα tomb". The sherds, p. 96, # 1-3 were built into one of the Βούφες.
