5.5.382E1 (from p. 47) with a great deal of ash. In the west find the white layer (rock?) already found in the N.E. In the S-E find clayey earth with much sand stone, going to the lower circuit wall. The "Baugrab" noted above is nonexistent.

6.5.38In the N-W corner the black earth gives way to grey earth with yellow sandstone, which lies over earth with white particles, found in much of the central part of 2E1. Clearly we are dealing with many thin wedge-like stroseis. The black layer and its variants, however, covers most of the area, and the level below it is fairly consistent. It is at 11.87 = 12.27 = 12.54.

Digging below 11.69 = 11.73 in the section E. of the E. wall of 2:22 find the hard red mud which lies over the L.C. II fill, in the west only. Digging through it, find the stoney fill, only very thin here, lying in the same ashy earth already cleared in 2E1. This in turn lies over the greenish level found over the pit (?) in 2:13. The ash found in 2E1 goes over the green level
