from p. 45 out below the 11.09=11.15 level. After digging out the pit, which stops off stones at 11.54, we dig below the 11.09=11.15 level. Here too the earth is very soft with coarse sand, much like that of the pit save that it is a trifle redder. This stops at a slight d slight difference, much the same earth, but greyer and more packed, at [illegible] 11.419 11.31

Unit 25A (south): Dig below 10.45= 10.58 through the same white floor, and find a level in the same material at 10.72 = 10.90. This is nearly pure ground sandstone & limestone, with a little earth & gravel. It is very loose.

Unit 26: Digging outside the pit we find loose sandy brown earth, as mentioned above, This too seems to be a pit. It slopes up west on the line of the early wall, but east and south it stops at firm red. brown earth with white grits, from the 11.09=11.15 level on down.
