21-5-37TRENCH 2 from p. 41 the ext. of unit 21 and the 11.16 east of unit 26. The Baugrab of the wall to unit 17 stops at the 11.09 = 11.15 floor, but the wall continues on down. This must thus be an rebuilding of an earlier wall.

24-5-37Unit 28: Dig below 10.98 in the section against unit 26, and find a composition floor of crushed limestone in places. Elsewhere the brown earth goes about 2 cm. lower, to a floor of brown earth, with grits. There are numerous sherds on it. The stones limiting this and which look like a wall, rest on the 10.98 level, and don't go to the composition floor. Unit 27 In the rest of the unit We dig below the 10.97 = 11.26 level, through relatively clean brown earth, and find a firmer level at 11.11 = 11.47. It is a bit greyer, with occasional yellow particles. Stones appear in this level. Unit 27 - 11.11 = 11.38; unit 27 E - 11.38 = 11.47
