11. 14-11-35 TOMB NO. 33, cont'd. fr. p. 27
PhThe bones of the skeleton are missing above the hips. There are a few fragments scattered around the tomb, but not nearly enough to account for the lack. The body lay to the right of the door, with its head toward the door, apparently stretched out on its back.

Miss Dorothy H. Cox drew the plan of tomb no. 33 on the 14th + 15th of Nov. Remove 41 objects on 14-11-35, 39 40 on 15-11-35, and 52 on 16-11-35 — a total of 133 .
The wide-mouthed amphora no. 94 contained 8 plates, a piece of iron, and one of bronze. Below the plates were the broken bones of the former inhabitant of the tomb.

14-11-35TOMB NO. 35_ (from p. 25
Start to open tomb no. 35. Open it from above, because of loose earth.
15-11-35 Clear a large part of tomb no. 35. The βράχος seems to have caved in almost immediately after the burial, for it lies directly upon the floor, without an intervening strosis of silt. Many of the lar pots are still empty. They did not fill up. The pottery in general is badly broken. The bones of the skeleton are not in place, but the skeleton seems to have been on the right (S-W) side of the chamber, presumably with its head toward the door. Find a bronze ring still around the finger which wore it.
16-11-35Finish clearing the tomb, draw the plan, and remove 50 objects (see pp. 36-7), mostly in bad condition. There are only a few bones, scattered through the tomb, and badly decomposed. To judge by the presence of fibulae and a button, a woman was buried here — but a knife too was found. Photos D 11-12 of chamber cleared (to p. 36)
