A break between L C II C and LC III A seems to come between Strata C and D

In D LC III Dec ware occurs if not for the very first time, at least in a greater quantity, Black Slip bucchero occurs for the first time + in quantity, LC III painted with proto White occurs, PWM II is constant and numerous. Myc. though not non-existent tends to occur sporadically, the standard wares (WS BR Wash WP) occur but numerically in smaller proportions. Virtually no change in these conditions is to be noted in Stratum E. Strata F + G, interconnected with E by a cross join see the addition of Wh P. Probably E is still to be reckoned to LC III A and F and G to "LC III B"?. nu. 3-4 (CA3A 1948) 1100-1050 The upper part of Stratum C is transitional to LC III A, the lower part fully in the LC II C period. B4 and B5 do not seem separated appreciably from C1 and in any case, offering PWM II and Myc. III C + Cypro-Myc., presume the LC III period. The presence of Myc II B/C sherds makes Sjöqvist's dating 1275-1200 seem appropriate. B 3 must also belong to LC III C. As then

Strut Strata B2 B2 A4, A3 and A2 may be grouped together as belonging to LC II B (1350-1275), with comparatively numerous occurrence of II A:2-B sherds and high proportions of the standard Cypriote wares. WS II is much more frequent than I. There is nothing to provide a positive date for A2a + A2. Lack of foreign wares, handmade type of plain ware suggest a still earlier period which may or may not be LC II A (1400- 1350) Daniel tentatively placed A1 in LC I A suggesting a further hiatus between I can account for. and II A
