BAMBOULA, TOMB 2 (cont.)
3 May 1938(cont.)
The finds lay directly on bed-rock. Careful investigation failed to reveal any pits or niches.
Photos Bam 255-257 of lowest layer with finds.
We removed the door stones which fell through later than the stoney fill. A slight curvature indicating the door is visible at the top of the preserved rock at the middle of the west side. The level of the rock is much lower now than when the tomb was built.
