BAMBOULA, TOMB 17-17A (cont.)

19 April 1939Begin to clear the floor in the south part. This tomb has been thoroughly ransacked, much more so than Tomb 17. Only a few sections of the original fill of the tomb were found high up on the walls, tunelled under and devoid of finds.

A mass of sherds, clearly discarded by the earlier excavators, was found in the center.

A well-cut block .. x .. x .. was found in the south room, just over the discarded sherds.
