Area C
The stratification of the area falls into the following categories. Only trench 12 is considered, for no undisturbed levels were excavated in trench 14, and though trench 13 was carried to bed-rock, an intrusion of Archaic date escaped us in the excavation, with a resulting confusion in the ceramic evidence. The results in trench 13, however, agree with those of trench 12 if the few intrusive sherds are overlooked.
