In [unit] 1, a non fraction-floor was f[oun]d at -3.74; top soil came down ab[ou]t - (drawing). The non-floor was f[oun]d at -3.74 in boxes 9 & 2; below it non-gravelly brown earth, the a sandy level at -4.45 and -4.61- while floor was non-[exis]t. in 1, and 3, to f[oun]d goes to -3.49-, a layer of gravel & apracell, w[hi]ch for 1.1-3.61. had maroon plaster on it, w[hi]ch had hit non the floor at -3.74-, t. d. in m to 1.8 was well, 1 and 2 floor was f[oun]d at c -3.80-, layers of mud & earth, with many fallen stones, over which its level, d. in box 14 floor at -4.61-, 10- and 11, The pavement one of the b[ui]ld[in]gs has been placed in LC III; the deposit over which it rests dates to LC III A,
Trench 17 - The Road ([Fig. 13]) In a trench 10.- long and 1.50- wide E-W to the NW of 12 thick floor at ab[ou]t 1.50- belo st., a road c. 2.50 m. wide was discovered. It was non-t. b. l. with very loose dark earthy, a rock cut riolo 3 filled habesh and loose stone, The low drains to b. l. is w[hi]ch consists of the roadway d[ep]osit is non- (seven wall or to non-r outside to turn it c one of the road. Turn Trench 17, it bends to a curve roughly at the NE, and was traced in this direction for ab[ou]t 30m. South of Trench 17, it runs roughly consistent for about 30m. at the angled slightly E the west, where it was traced for an [illegible] of 10-; Th[ou]gh the road dies here for d. is space and total l. of r. 1.75. about 10m. W. of the wall. It is high[es]t point was f[oun]d in Trench IV, At the nonpoint where the road mud developed, its width varies from 2.00- & 2.50-, or possibly more. In car VIII, a pavement was f[oun]d 2, ab SW of the road, probably b[uilt] with the existence of a open sq- one of thip. V.
Trench 18. Trench south-west of car IV for the road, a trench 20- by c 1.50- was dug of c 1, w. w[hi]ch is E-W. The trench yielded no traces of walls, but a heavy fill was [illegible] here. It was a fill brought to level off the continuation of the wall, apparently to form a large type of one at this area.
