December 14, 1984Dear Peter:

Thank you for your letter about the Basilica. I have passed on a copy to the Director ([handwritten: R]obert H. Dyson) for his information.

The response I have received from the Director reads: "Megaw - will review needs in 1986."

This is somewhat ambiguous. However, if you come to feel you will require funding for the calendar year 1986, please let me (or the Director) know what they are, in detail, before November 15[handwritten: 4] That is our annual deadline for submitting budget requests.
