… further with you or with someone from the publications staff, either by telephone or in person next time I am in Philadelphia, in the hope of finding a solution to this impasse.

I might add that, since 1978, Tamara Stech, Vince Piggot, and others have done additional analytical work on the metal objects from the site. Since this is one of the earliest and largest well-documented collections of copper/bronze artifacts from Cyprus, the inclusion of this supplementary research in the final publication will be of considerable importance.

Finally, you should be aware that many of the most important individual objects from the entire Pennsylvania Cyprus Expedition will be included in the "picture book" I am preparing on the Cypriot material in the Mediterranean Section. However, this is intended as a book for the general public and should in no way be construed as a final scholarly publication of these pieces.

I was delighted to hear that the University Museum is considering resuming work on Cyprus. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

Sincerely yours,
