UNIVERSITY INTRAMURAL CORRESPONDENCE MUSEUM

TO: R. H. Dyson, Jr., Director, The University Museum FROM: Spyros Iakovidis, Curator, Mediterranean Section DATE: February 8, 1983 RE: Kourion publication

When asked whether he would agree to the University Museum undertaking an excavation in Cyprus, Dr. V. Karageorghis suggested the site of Kourion, on the condition that the earlier work done there by the University Museum expedition be first published. As it happens, most of the material from this excavation either has been already published, or is in the press, or has been assigned to scholars for publication. What comparatively little remains can also be distributed to people who would be interested in it. Would you consider writing to those still working on their assigned subjects and let them know that the future of the Museum project in Cyprus depends on their delivering their manuscripts?

The names and addresses are as follows:

1. A. H. S. Megaw, Esq. (The Basilica, assigned ca. 1955) Anaperon Polemou Str. 4-6 Athens 140, Greece

2. David W. Rupp (The Palace, architecture and mosaics, and the house of Ganymede mosaic, assigned 1978) Dept. of Classics Brock University, Region Niagara St. Catherines Ontario, I25 3A1 CANADA
