10 July 1982Dear Dr. Edwards,

I'm sorry not to have replied sooner to your note of May 27.

All research for the project has been completed, and I am trying to get the final draft written up. The objects which were given to other people to write up have been [handwritten: completed]. The finished manuscript should be ready by the end of the year, if not before -- I am trying for sooner, as Vassos Karageorghis is very anxious to see it finished.

Did you ever receive the recommendation form for the Amer. Philos. Soc., for the metal analysis project? If it got lost, I will get another one to you. It is due the beginning of July.

Thank you very much for your attention and support for the Cypriote book.

All best regards,

Sincerely,
