I have no comments to offer on the text, except for the few and minor remarks pencilled in the margin. But I would very much like to see the plans redrawn in such a way as to show clearly the different architectural and/or archaeological features of the houses. To this end the usual and most by now almost generally adopted conventions should be used. For instance: 1) Walls, preserved (drawing)

2) Cuttings, foundation trenches hollows, holes, wells

Drawing: line with hatch marks forming a corner] (drawing) (drawing) (drawing) [sketch: hachured circular hole

3) Rock ledges (drawing)

4) Stones (drawing)

5) Preserved floors (drawing)
