September 6, 1977Dear Saul:

I have your letter of August 8th written from Jerusalem and addressed to Fro, who has now retired as Director. In the interim I am serving until the arrival of Mr. Martin Biddle on October 2nd to take over the Directorship. Let me say that we are delighted that you are back on the Bamboula project and will look forward eagerly to the appearance of the monograph on architecture. When it comes to getting photographs from our files I suggest that you write directly to Roger Edwards, who is the most likely person to know where the negatives are.

Martin Biddle is particularly eager to do something about the backlog of our publications. I am sure he would be delighted [handwritten: that] you are getting around to writing up this material.

With all best wishes to you and to Gladys.

Yours sincerely,
