DEPARTMENT OF ANTIQUITIES Nicosia, 23rd June,1955.

Dear Roger,

I expect by now you will have received the consignment of skeletal material.

I do not recall if I told you or Larry [handwritten: or] Harry Tliffe before of the request we had from Harry Tliffe (copy enclosed) to include some material (13th - 12th century B.C. I believe) from a tomb below the Kouklia siege mound. Nor do I know if Harry has communicated with Larry direct. But we have complied with the request and hope it may prove of interest.

Properly, the Kouklia Expedition ought to have contributed to the cost of freight, but I imagine it would be difficult to calculate how much. From the enclosed letter to Mantovani you will see that you may expect a call for payment of freight charges at your end. [handwritten: yet]

As I feared I have not been able to spend any time on the Basilica at Curium and we go on leave next month.

Handwritten: All good wishes

Handwritten: Yours
