Note on List of Objects at Curium House - Sept. 1954

Pages 1 to 27 were listed by Christofis who was anxious to get as much done as possible before he went to Athens. There was no time to put the objects in numerical order. This can be done at any time.

Pages 28 to 34 were done after he left. They refer to Apollo Terracottas only. Explanation: 3254 & ab = three objects, 3254, 3254a and 3254b; 2816ab = two objects, 2816a and 2816b. Figures in parentheses indicate the number of objects bearing the same number.

The groups are not in numerical order but in the order in which they have been put on the shelves. A numbered board at the left end of each group indicates its position but the numbers in each group start at the right hand end of the group. The objects are far too numerous and shelf space too limited for it to be worth while trying to rearrange the objects before they have been thinned out by transfers to other museums.
