what amount and kind of collateral would the Museum be required to put up, against the time when the pound credits become available to Dr. Edwards in Cyprus? Dr. Edwards' latest communication says that he expects the equivalent of £10,000-12,000 in pounds from the estate on or about August 1; it is to be hoped for various reasons that these funds will become available long before that. All depends, however, on the slow grinding of the local probate court in Cyprus.

If an arrangement can be made, will you please let me know as soon as possible; and for details of transportation reservations (class, dates of departure and return, etc.) perhaps it would be best for you to get directly in touch with

Professor Richard Stillwell Department of Art and Archaeology McCormick Hall Princeton University Princeton, New Jersey

May I add that I have myself traveled to Athens and Istanbul by the B.O.A.C.--B.E.A combination several times, and therefore have no hesitation in recommending it to Professor Stillwell.

Yours truly,
