Dear Emily -

I have indeed received your letter of the 12th with the additional information about the gift for Mustapha. Our figures check and everything seems to be in order for carrying out your wishes.

I have with difficulty restrained myself from telling them anything about it. It will come as a happy surprise to them, bettered only by having you here to make the presentations younself. I hope you will have as much pleasure in your life as you are giving to theirs.

Cyprus is lovely now. For three days now we have had perfect sunny weahher after much rain. The contrast is intense, with the orchards all in bloom, the fields green again and flowers everywhere. Why don't you come visit us?

Most Sincerely,
