Dear B. Roger: Apr 27-1954

On receipt of your last I got Rainey (after his return from this lecture tour) to call Ewing and ask for the $3600.- E. said he would ask the bank to pay it, & let us know when it had done so. The possible hitch being that this is to come out of the "charity" bequest and the principles decided upon with regard to that seems to be not to pay out of this fund until the rest of the estate had been settled up. But he hopes the bank will pay shortly. I don't know your present balance in Chase Bank: Rich Stillwell will I assume pay in $675 before his departure. Other assets are the Cyprus Airways stock (dubious!), and the 3600, plus whatever is realized by sale of objects. --

Your new license came & I have it in my desk drawer, assuming that you want me to keep it for you rather than send it -- however, let me know.

No further word from Bollingen. Machteld leaves 20 May; Sam 15 May (to be in Istanbul doing tablets during summer; hopes to get to Cyprus).

Of the ladies, Adena is now Mrs. (not Miss) (Mrs. Izmir). Filby may or may not be Mrs. Istanbul: I hope I snatched her away before results are to be expected as I would rather she wait till the fall; but she has been of interest for at least six weeks and very lately increasingly so. At the moment I have 2 gents at lover, & two interesting ladies in Princeton. Will let you know if any interesting events (mid father for A.) -- B&F
