CURIUM EXCAVATIONS EPISKOPI, LIMASSOL CYPRUS

Oct. 27, 1953Dear Gloria:

I was very glad to hear from you and to learn about the shipment and the bank deposit. I hope the comptroller really has pushed through the deposit promptly, since I have been forced to eat into my stock of travellers's checks for the last month. I cabled the Chase Bank yesterday for $1000, hoping that the money is now available.

I am enclosing the $1000. check made out to Mr. Last for cancellation, as you request.

Dr. Kidder is probably right in not deducting the money owed the Gordion Fund at this point. It may be a while yet before the Cypriote stocks are sold and the money made available to us.

Best greetings to you all.

Sincerely,
