MRS. McFADDEN HARRISON 1030 FIFTH AVENUE NEW YORK CITY TELEPHONE TR 9-0195
Dear Roger, Thank you so much for your letter. I think you misunderstood what I wanted you to find out. It was not the name of the oldest workman I wanted you to find out, but just wanted you to know that he was Christofi, I knew that he was. Christofi, but just wanted you to let me know if there were any case of hardship among the people that worked for George. I understand that they are all being employed by the Museum and hope that is true. If not, let me know. About the 10% raise, I enclose a letter that is self explanatory from Jonnie Ewing whose firm is representing George's estate. What I did want to know too was whether there was a visiting nurse or doctor service in Episkopi. You know George left a certain amount of money to charity to be disposed of by the executor. I want to give some money out of the sum he left to hospitals in Cyprus. I thought I would give $500 to the hospital at Larnaka as they were so wonderful when George's body was found. Then I thought that it would be nice to give a thousand dollars to some hospital in Limassol and I would like to give a thousand to nurse service in Episkopi. If there is such a thing, a visiting nurse service in Episkopi, if you have no way of finding out about these things I can write to Sir Cacayonis and I am sure he will know. Or do you think I ought to write to the Englishman who runs the district? I am ashamed to say that I have forgotten his name and what he is called!
