5th October. 1953Mr. John K. Ewing 3rd., c/o Messrs. Saul, Ewing, Remick & Saul. 23rd Floor, Packard Building Philadelphia 2. Pa. U.S.A.
Dear Mr. Ewing.
Estate of George H. McFadden, deceased.
I acknowledge receipt of your letter 16676 A dated 25th September. 1953. and confirm my cable to you dated 29th September, reading as follows:-
"ANCILLARY PROBATE AND ADMINISTRATION WITH WILL ANNEXED RE PROPERTY DECEASED GEORGE McFADDEN FOUND IN CYPRUS GRANTED TO ME TO-DAY."
PANAYOTIS CACOYANNIS
Certified copy of the order of the District Court of Limassol granting such ancillary probate and administration is enclosed herewith for your information.
You may rest assured that none of the 8 men from Episcopi paid by the University Museum for searching between April 19th and 21st has been paid by me.
With regard to the two dogs. Monty and Kim, and for the young horses and dogs. I have now found good homes for the two dogs. Unfortunately the bitch "Phyllis" died on Monday. 29th September. 1953. The death was certified by the vet as being due to pneumonia and a copy of the death Certificate is enclosed herewith. The prices obtained for the dogs sold are £30 for the male dogs and £35 for each of the bitch. Such prices were the very maximum that could be obtained in Cyprus.
I have also found a good home for the mare at the price of £30. including the value of her harness which was an old one. There now only remains a mare to dispose of. There will be considerable difficulty in disposing of this mare as she is very old.
My first duty is to prepare a full inventory of the estate for filing in Court within two months of the date of my appointment. As soon as I complete the inventory I shall carry out the instructions contained in your letter with regard to the
