This is merely to let you know that the shipment finally arrived, safely, on the 8th. No insurance claims.
Ordering casualties: the architectural levelling rod is measured off in inches, so it is of no use to us. Only the metric scale is used in these parts of the world. Not your fault. I guess I should ha ve told you.
Think it might be well to register a complaint about the rolls of drawing paper (Keuffel & Esser Co., Standard cross-section drawing paper). This is ruled in centimeter squares, as specified, but is too inaccurate to use in careful drawings. Widthwise and lengthwise \\ in \ the squares are off two mm every 30 centimeters. No good to man or beast.
