19 June, 1953UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA Re: Estate of George H. McFadden, 2nd, Deceased (Executor #16621)

Mr. F. J. Mainwaring, Assistant Trust Officer Girard Trust Corn Exchange Bank Broad and Chestnut Streets Philadelphia 2, Pa.

Dear Mr. Mainwaring:

Thank you for your letter of June 17, informing us that the Executors are agreeable to paying, at this time, the $10,000.00 legacy provided in Article Second of Mr. McFadden's will in favor of the "University Museum of Philadelphia".

The University Museum is, in effect, a department of The Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania and we have accordingly changed the form of the satisfactions of award enclosed with your letter to read "The Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania for the University Museum of Philadelphia".

Both copies of the satisfactions of award enclosed with your letter have been forwarded to the Treasurer's office with the suggestion they they be executed and returned directly to you.

Very truly yours,

Eric A. McCouch
