Dear Sirs:-
Thank you very much for sending me a copy of your issue of April 4th containing my article. I thought the illustrations looked very well. I haven't found any mistakes in the text and I congradulate you on the care and diligence that this reflects. I found, however, some of your captions for the illustrations somewhat misleading and not quite justified by the text. The statue in fig 10, for example, is in stone, not marble. The torso and head of fig 11 cannot work of the early Roman period. The torso and head of fig 11 is Roman, proceeds the Roman period of course and it is our opinion that it is Hellenistic work. The figurine illustrated in fig. 14 is Roman but very probably not as late as the second century A.D. We are not at all sure about the date of the marble head in fig. 15 but if it is Hellenistic work as you say, it cannot belong to the "early Roman period". These are slight slips due to re-writing my captions and are insignificant in face of the fine job you did on the text and the reproduction of the photos.
Am I entitled to any offprints? I should like to order 100 and six complete extra issues. Could you send these to me to the above address at your convenience.
Very truly yours,
