10th January, 1952The Director, The University Museum, University of Pennsylvania, 33rd & Spruce streets, Philadelphia, 4.

Dear Fro:-

Yours of January 4th just reached me. I'm delighted to hear the program is still on and I'm looking forward to your visit. We can provide three double rooms here and a single if you are prepared for not too much comfort. One of the cars will be our own and we can rent another. I thought I might drive one and let our driver Mustafas drive the other. I will see about transportation to Beirut and accomodation there and will advise you as soon as I know. I have written my cousins Judge and Geneva Brinton at Cairo that you were coming. They are both Philadelphians and I feel sure some member of your party will know them. The Judge, who recently was President of the Mixte Courts of Alexandria, is now Legal Attache at our Embassy. While at Alexandria he was also President of the Royal Archaeological Society of Egypt. I am sure you would enjoy them both very much. It is the Judge's son John who is my cousin. He and his wife lived at Beirut for a year and can tell you all about the place. They undoubtedly know everyone there.

Yours as ever,
