February 14, 1950Dear Mr. Negevi:

Just before he left for Turkey, Rodney Young received a letter from Mr. T. B. Mitford saying that he had dug for some weeks at Kafizin, the site from which a pottery bowl and some sherds of ours had come; our things were published in the AJA, Vol. XXX. Mr. Mitford asked that our specimens be sent to you so that he might study them when he is working on the ones he excavated. The package has been sent by Parcel Post and I am enclosing the list herewith.

Dr. Young asked me to say that if sherds from the two lots join, we would be interested in arranging an exchange so that all of the sherds from the whole vessel would be in one museum. The details of such an exchange can be worked out later with him.

I hope that the package reaches you safely. Will you advise me of its arrival, please?

Sincerely
