25th February, 1950Director, The Ny Carlsberg-Glyptothek Museum, Copenhagen, Denmark.

Dear Sir:-

About three weeks ago I wrote you from America to ask if you could be so kind as to have large size photographs sent to me of the Copenhagen head of "Ptolemy I Soter" Katalog p 319, no. 453, two of the full face view and two of the profile. Since my letter I have returned to Cyprus to resume our excavations here and it would be greatly appreciated if you could send these directly via airmail to the above address. I should like very much to have permission, if this may be granted, to include these photographs among my illustrations in the paper I am sending in for Prof. David M. Robinson's Festschrift. There are four photographs in the Collections of the Ny Carlsberg Glyptothek, II, (1938), figs. 12,13,14,& 15, and I wonder if you could tell me to whom I should apply for permission to reproduce these for my paper. Hoping this will not put you to much trouble, I am Very truly yours,
