April 9, 1949Dear George:

Mrs. Daniel has just made up her mind that she will accept the offer to go to Cyprus but she prefers to go in August.

I think it is very good of you to make this offer and I also think it will help Mrs. Daniel who has been hit very hard by Pete's death.

We got Fales' report on the bluff dig and will be forwarding this on to the Philosophical Society with the request for the additional $5000.00 for next year. That should go before their committee this month. Rodney writes he will be in Cyprus in April or May on his way out to Turkey and I'm glad to see him getting familiar with the Cyprus work.

Please let me know how you are making out this season and if there is anything we can do to assist.

Very best wishes,
