CURIUM EXCAVATIONS EPISKOPI, LIMASSOL CYPRUS
19th March, 1949Dear Pro:-
Many thanks for your letter. I'm glad you think offering Alix Daniel a trip abroad might well be a better idea than Cyprus or Greece although I've written her to say we 'd be glad to have her come and stay here as long as she can. I'm afraid, however, that places so associated with Pete might tend only to be depressing to her. A complete change of envirement might be the best thing. Anything you think best will be alright as far as I'm concerned.
Fales has written his report, which should go off in tomorrow's air-mail. I think it will serve its purpose of informing the Philosophical Society as to what has been done on the bluff of Curium during the last few months. It is a little difficult for the layman to follow particularly so as some of the terms are very technical. It may therefore, not be altogether suitable for publication in the Bulletin as it now stands. However, if you want something on his excavations for the Bulletin, it can be revised later and brought up to date at the end of the season. To revise it now would mean it might not arrive before April 1st which I understand is the dead line. Fales was under the impression that it was May 1st, so the paper was written somewhat hurridly to have it ready on time. He is enclosing with it my own statement on Curium Bluff expenses.
Yours as ever,
