Gentlemen,
It is strange that the letter and film that were packed together should have arrived separately, but I am much relieved that it was not lost. I came back to me last week. This was the first film I asked you to keep but as you returned it to me before you received my last letter, we will not give this film any number. The film I am sending off to you today one I ask you to keep on file, will bear the number ONE. The next film after this you may keep and give it the number TWO, and so on. Films I do not ask you to keep will be of course, returned in due course.
I should like you to develop and make one continuous strip like the one you made on the film that has already been returned to me. Send the continuous strip here by air mail, but keep the film (Film No.One). The numbers on the continous strip should show plainly so that I may not have any difficulty in ordering enlargements of any particular negative.

P.S. In addition to the single continous strip, please make individual contact prints of every negative that has come out at all well, and send one of each along with the continuous strip.
