Nicosia, 29th November, 1948.
Dear Mr. Hill,
The division set out in the enclosed letter was made by me on 26th November in consultation with Dikaios and in the presence of Pete Daniel. This covers all the tomb groups but only a small part of the settlement finds.
As regards the bulk of the remainder of the Settlement finds prior to the present season, I hope to be able to take a final decision as soon as the stratified groups selected for the Cyprus Museum have been isolated and we can see in what respects they must be supplemented. I explained to Pete that apart from Pottery we would need a representative selection of stone objects and a copper crucible specimen.
In the case of the graffiti we are agreed that a numerical division should be made in which we will claim those with characters unrepresented in the Cyprus Museum and the Expedition will receive the third "K6e" specimen, as we are getting two in one of the stratified groups.
As Pete is anxious to have the following right away for study purposes, I have agreed to let them go to Philadelphia on loan.
