14 June 1948Dear George,

I have now looked at the cash account I did not have with me in Cyprus, and find that I ought to return about #75.00 of the #260.00 you deposited for me in New York. So I enclose a check for that amount.

The full account with Curium I make as follows: [handwritten: Unsigned] [handwritten: Dec 47] 22 Dec 47 Account rendered £69-15-8 = $107.85 [handwritten: 5.75 28.85 5] Jan-Mar 48 Expenses re Coins sent to USA Dr 510000 $5.75 Apr 48 Airways Round-trip Ticket 1280000 144.25 [handwritten: 11.44] " Visa, Exit permit & Airport Exps. 25700 3.20 Apr-Jun 48 Taxis, Nicosia-Limassol £ -/9/- 2.00 [handwritten: 132.65] Jun 48 Phones, Postage, Stationery £ -/11/- 1.20 Anticholiera Certificate 5/-

$69.85 $336.00

To the $69.85 for Curium I add at a guess $5.15 for a packet of pills and powder you had sent me from Philadelphia last autumn and for a couple of Cyprus calendars received last month. Very likely the guess at the cost is too low, but 75 seems a good number.

To the notes I handed you Friday morning should have been added two (at least): when I was calculating the fragment of the marble Apollo I did not see the fragment of his left foot and ankle that was found with the other pieces. Is it on the shelf where the basis was? I omitted to look of the sill from above the in the 'Alley'! In the southern pivot windows, now left three small door of the building with jamb in place, I inadvertently should be included among your Finds: with its south jamb fragments of the packed surface upon which the Alley wall fell, a 1.75 .60 to .80 from the N doorway of the day was May 18. There were two pieces then, but the west wall; later. So you "P19" (or is it "P21"), one of the nearly complete the west broken in the 'Kitchen' last Nov.; now in the room east. one was broken "P19" (or is it "P21"), one of the nearly complete pan tiles found in the 'Kitchen, ought to be gathered up and mended. of the Kitchen, ought to be gathered up and mended.

I have searched fairly diligently and fail to find my Curium notebook of 1934-35. It is, I think, almost certain that it is somewhere at Episkopi.

Here are my very warm thanks to you all for the delightful two months I spent with you!

Sincerely,
