Yours sincerely,

and to Joe Last at Episkopi.

I am sending copies of this letter to Pete

In order to avoid if possible, the return of all this material to Cyprus it was agreed that Pete should make suggestions for its distribution, using photographs where necessary and bearings in mind that we shall need a representative selection of decorated sherds from stratified contexts.

French 16: 15 Dollar - all contents except p.1423 & p.1424 (already datjded) and all plates were and a & b and 580 already dtatjded.

All catalogued sherds (except Sh. 579

French 12 Plt: all contents.

As Pete is anxious to have the following rifght away for study purposes, I have agreed to let them go to Philadelphia on loan.

In the case of the Bratli we are agreed that a numerical distribution should be made in which we will claim those with characters represented in the Cyprus Museum and the Expedition will receive the third specimen, as we are getting two in one of the stratified groups.

As regards the bulk of the remainder of the settlement finds prior to the present season, I hope to be able to take a final decision as soon as the stratified groups selected for the Cyprus Museum have been isolated and we can see in what respects they must be supplemented. I explained to Pete that apart from pottery we would need a representative selection of stone objects and a copper crusible specimen.

Dear Mr. Hill,

The distribution set out in the enclosed letter was made by me on 26th November in consultation with Dikaios and in the presence of Pete Daniel. This covers all the tomb groups but only a small part of the settlement finds.
