30th April 1947

Handwritten: Dear George,

We are now cleaning and mending the pottery from the tomb by the main road near the Mill. It would help us if the remaining bags of sherds could be sent up now. There are not many, I think, and if they were put in together in a large sack and sent by "Embistosini" that should reach us alright.

The whole vase (or are there two?) could follow later when escort is available, but if you could mail us your list and Joe's plan they would be useful to us at this stage.

Handwritten: Yours Peter Megaw

Handwritten: P.S. would you tell Johnny that Nikis expected back here on Sunday next.
