23rd July, 1946

Handwritten: Dear George,

As Christo may have told you, during the war years the unexcavated parts of the lands at Curium which were acquired and registered in the name of the Government were leased for cultivation as a contribution to the "grow more" campaign.

If any damage has resulted I should hesitate to continue this practice, but I believe that it is not the case, and if you have no objection I will ask Christo to obtain offers as he has done before.

Handwritten: Yours, ever
