Dear Mrs. Godfrey,
[handwritten: With reference to my letter of July 4th,] "With reference to my letter of July 4th," "I fear I may have forgotten to enclose my cheque for $1,000.00, as I see no record of it among my stubs. I am, therefore, enclosing another, to make sure, for this amount. As you will note from my letter to the Treasurer of $3,000.00 of the estimated share contributed my share of the closing fiscal year. I had not realised your thousand for the closing fiscal year ended July 1st, so contrary to expectation, we shall have something left to carry us into the new year. The cheque I am enclosing is a contribution for the new fiscal year. As Dr. and Mrs. Young are here with us now and will probably want to receive a portion of their joint stipend, or scholarship, of Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars in favor of Curium Excavations which will be credited to our account with the Ottoman Bank at Limassol. Would you advise the Museum Treasurer. This will make my contribution to date for the new fiscal year amount to Three Thousand Dollars. If convenient, I suggest you send us with the proceeds of my own cheque the Museum's contribution of One Thousand Dollars for the closing year and an additional One Thousand of their share for the coming year. As I may be leaving the island soon,
