Kourion Excavations, Episkopi, Limassol D., Cyprus.

16 April, 1946Treasurer, University Museum, Philadelphia.

Dear Mr. Dobbett,

Thank you for your letter of March 5th a copy of which was forwarded to me here by my secretary. In accordance with your recommendation I enclose a cheque to the amount of [handwritten: $]1,000.00 in favor of the University Museum instead of to Kourion Excavations. I well understand that this will facilitate your book keeping and avoid confusion. I should appreciate it if you would send this amount on by airmail to the Ottoman Bank, Limassol, Cyprus with instructions that it be credited to the account of Kourion Excavations.

For your information, on the 5th of this month I drew a cheque for $1,000.00 in favor of Kourion Excavations which has been credited to our account with the Ottoman Bank. This makes my contribution to the University Museum since December 11th, 1945 amount to $3,000.00.

Very truly yours,
