5. The contents of tomb 31 have not been mended or catalogued and should remain in Cyprus for the present. It is a very large tomb with one or two good things and a great mass of utterly mediocre material. It is doubtful that this museum will every want it, though it might eventually be used for exchange.
6. The contents of tombs not mentioned above could be used for exchange. The most interesting is the small double tomb with one late transitional burial. I believe that it is number 36.
It is strongly reccomended that we hold out for what we want, particularly in the matter of tombs 39 and 25(or as a minimum, 25) without citing the Cyprus government's special obligation to us as a result of the mosaics which we are leaving on the site. They should be in a conciliatory frame of mind as a result of our contemplated cooperation with Dikaios and we should tell them frankly that we will judge from their treatment of us in the present distribution how much to expect from the promised division of finds from Dikaios. Chalcolithic dig; it would not hurt to let them fear that unfavorable treatment of the Dikaios excavation might make us reconsider the matter of the question of the mosaics to bring up at a subsequent division when we may not have the strong support of our projected help of Dikaios in our favor.
