Dear Mr. Hill,

I hope the rumours that reach us that you are finding interesting things are well founded. I would be glad if you could let me know what your results and prospects are: in particular whether you are likely to be going on with the temple site.

If you would kindly give us a general account of your work during the year we would like to have it for the annual report, whose preparation is now beginning.

Also you mentioned plans and photographs of the work done in the spring. I am sure you will realize that we must have records of the work.

I wrote to Government about the land question immediately after seeing you, but they have not replied. Presumably they hope that the new law may appear.

I suppose if the temple site is interesting the acquisition of land on the hill will not be such an urgent matter. In any case I hope there will not be much delay.

Yours sincerely,
