Dear Dr. Jayne:-

Not having a reply from you, I presume that you have been able to find a man suitable for the position under Dr. Hill in Cyprus, which I had been unable to accept; and this being the case had been advised by one of your men that my help in finding or recommending a suitable person would be in order.

If my presumption is correct I should like to hear from you, as I find the present inquiries of both men whom I recommended rather difficult to satisfy.

At the same time, should my presumption be incorrect, I should inform you that I have just been referred to a young Greek architect who, I am told, would qualify for, and accept, the position.

Yours very truly,
