… is just the man we want.

I am writing him about a d did to Thin Cox, that the Expedition can pay transportation (of one of the mexpensesin kinds) and living expenses and that he would be kept busy through Mar. Apr. May with a little time off now & then to see the more interesting buildings of Cyprus, but that the invitation to join us is to be considered regretfully null & void if he hears from Philadelphia that an architect has already been secured for Kourion.

His address here is "122 E 65th St. New York" but perhaps his latest known Julian H. Whittlesey "Elizabethan Club 123 College Street New Haven, Conn." would be a little surer to reach him.

Please write him if it happens that the Univ. Museum is providing us with an architect, or if you judge as Treasurer that the Expedition funds cannot stand the expense.

We should be mightly lucky if Whittlesey were to be available. And of course he may be building a house for somebody, a town one of the Government's, or an architect to his & for Ex.
