: May 31 nearly a month ago I learned thatwhen I saw V. G. in Athens two weeks since her plans for mr Cyprus - & I started a letter to you at once. But never from then & now is New I begin again - that noth moves here and as Corinth -

As you [illegible] know, the [illegible] objects to be proper studied are in three groups [illegible] 1) [illegible] sent to Phila. in 1932 2) those retained by the Cyp. Mus. 3) those accorded to the U. M. but left in storage at the C.M.

Groups 1 & 2 will I suppose be readily accessible, in their respective owners. But the 3d are now in 40 packing cases in "Episkopi", where they were sent last Jan. By a rather unfortunate mistake of the Cyp. Mus. authorities. Last year they informed me that they planned to build a storage annex & seemed expect us to pay rental

Part of these were carelessly packed in 32, and we may hope are still in reasonably good condition but a large number of the vases, packed only for storage in Nicosia & not for transportation, have undoubtedly suffered badly in their [illegible] jolting journey of 60 odd miles in on lorries + storming -

After [illegible] Four of these were packed only for storage, after would have been necessary that they were now to be shipped then to Phila. If the Govt. happens to be studied in Nicosia
