Greece via Italy. He writes that he will have it within five days. He seems very encouraged about this business of buying ships for the Greek Government and says he has a letter from Mr. de Naxas whom he says is still very interested. But I am rather sceptical inspite of these two gentlemen. I hope to see Nikita if he manages to get his visee here in ten days on his way to Athens. As you probably know, Georgio was operated on very successfully and must be back aboard by now.

I have a letter from Heykoop who is anxious to return. I hate to disappoint him but I think it much better to get a mate in Greece: I am sure we will be able to make de Klerk mate. I am planning to return the end of July. I feel very tempted to return now and if it were not for the heat and my meagre knowledge of German I would return by the first steamer in Germany. However, I expect to have a very nice time in Salzburg, and if I can persuade John Wyeth to go to Salzburg, I know I will have a fine time. I am anxious to take a walking trip in the Tyrol. Hoping your work at Corinth is going on well,

Yours as ever,

Handwritten: George

I wanted to write you sooner, June 25, 1935, but had been waiting for my typewriter daily, which yesterday just succeeded in catching up with me. Apparently de Klerk and the agent sent it by the most round about and difficult to trace way they, putting their two heads together, could conceive of.
